Our round-up of what to expect in the coming week and the key events of last week. The regular Spotlight feature looks at UK inflation. The decline in the June CPI and core CPI readings lifted market spirits and lowered money market expectations of how high base rates will go in this cycle. Chances are that other economic data will need to fall in line in order to temper the BoE's rate rise thinking. Our Review section looks at recent economic data which saw some softer economic data from China, while UK Gilt yields are worth watching as they may have peaked for this cycle - early days!
